Overview

Bicurra is developing a novel transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) device for clinical research and therapeutic use. A patent application has been filed for the underlying technology.

Technology

The stimulator delivers targeted electrical stimulation to the auricular branch of the vagus nerve through a custom earpiece designed for the concha cymba region of the ear.

Clinical Study

A working device has been built and is being prepared for a clinical study. The stimulator is designed around a custom earpiece that delivers targeted stimulation to the concha cymba region of the ear.
